Maria Iwicka

Ich wurde in der Liebe zur polnischen Literatur und Kunstgeschichte erzogen. In einer solchen Atmosphäre entwickelt sich die Sensibilität für Schönheit und die Neugier auf die Welt. Mir sind sowohl der Impressionismus mit seiner Vergänglichkeit der Gefühle als auch der Jugendstil mit seiner Unruhe und Asymmetrie sehr lieb. Ich denke, dass das Entwerfen und Suchen nach neuen, universellen Dekorationen für verschiedene Töpferwaren eine kommerzielle Form des Entnehmens aus dem Erbe der Jungen Polen darstellt, einer Strömung in der polnischen Literatur der Wende zum 20. Jahrhundert, in der die Grenze zwischen Kunst und Handwerk aufgehoben wurde. Was ich inspirierend finde, ist die Fähigkeit, mit Farbe und der Vielfalt der Dekorationstechniken zu arbeiten, um Alltagskeramiken schöne und einzigartige Motive zu verleihen, die auf die Tradition und originale Designideen verweisen.
