This beautiful and versatile Polish Pottery jug by Ceramika Artystyczna is much more than a classic beverage jug. Its harmoniously rounded shape, large handle, shaped pouring spout and maximum capacity of approx. 950 ml combine decorative appeal with an exceptionally wide range of practical uses.

The jug is approx. 10 cm high. Its longest upper dimension including the handle is approx. 17.5 cm, while the shortest side measures approx. 11 cm. The generous base, with a diameter of approx. 12 cm, provides a stable position on the dining table, buffet or kitchen worktop. The jug weighs approx. 670 g.

The wide opening makes the jug easy to fill and also provides plenty of room for fruit, herbs, ice cubes or flowers.

With a maximum capacity of almost one litre, this jug is wonderfully versatile. In the morning it can hold milk or juice, in the afternoon homemade iced tea, at a barbecue herb oil or dressing, at dinner wine, and afterwards it can become a decorative flower vase.

One piece of Polish Pottery can therefore accompany many different moments throughout the day.

For Milk at Breakfast

Instead of placing a milk carton or bottle on a beautifully laid table, milk can be served attractively in this ceramic jug.

It is ideal for milk served with:

Coffee

Tea

Muesli

Breakfast cereals

Porridge

Cocoa

Fresh berries

Pancakes

Crêpes

Waffles

Desserts

Its capacity is particularly practical for a larger family breakfast or a relaxed Sunday brunch.

In hotels, guesthouses, cafés and restaurants, the jug can also be used for serving milk at the breakfast table or buffet.

For Baristas, Coffee and Milk Foam

The large handle and shaped pouring spout also make this jug useful for serving coffee and milk.

Milk can be provided in the jug, and already prepared milk foam can also be served in it.

Ideal for:

Cappuccino

Latte macchiato

Caffè latte

Café au lait

Espresso macchiato

Chai latte

Hot chocolate

Cocoa

If milk is to be heated or frothed directly inside the ceramic jug with a steam wand, first check whether Ceramika Artystyczna has approved this specific use for the product. Without appropriate approval, do not place the jug directly on a hob or any other direct heat source.

Cocoa and Hot Chocolate

Especially during autumn and winter, the jug is a beautiful way to serve already prepared warm cocoa or hot chocolate.

Small bowls can be placed alongside it containing:

Whipped cream

Marshmallows

Cinnamon

Chocolate shavings

Cocoa powder

Caramel sauce

This makes it easy to create a small cocoa bar for family, guests or café customers, allowing everyone to customise their own drink.

The jug can also be used for vanilla sauce, chocolate sauce or fruit sauces served with waffles, cakes, ice cream and other desserts.

As a Juice Jug for Breakfast and Brunch

With a maximum capacity of approx. 950 ml, the jug is ideal for many different types of juice.

For example:

Orange juice

Apple juice

Cherry juice

Grape juice

Pineapple juice

Peach juice

Tomato juice

Multivitamin juice

Mixed fruit and berry juices

For a large breakfast table, several jugs in different Polish Pottery patterns can be placed next to one another. One jug might contain orange juice, another apple juice and a third milk.

This also creates a particularly attractive presentation at a hotel breakfast buffet. When several jugs contain different beverages, clearly labelling the contents is recommended.

As a Wine Jug for Relaxed Evenings

The ceramic jug can also be used to serve wine attractively at the table.

White wine, rosé or red wine can be served in it and works especially well with rustic or Mediterranean meals featuring fresh bread, cheese, olives, antipasti, pasta, salads and grilled dishes.

The stated 950 ml is the maximum capacity when filled to overflowing. For practical serving, wine and other beverages should be filled well below the rim so that the jug remains comfortable to carry and easy to pour from.

Water and Naturally Flavoured Water

The jug is also ideal for serving water.

Fresh fruit and herbs can be used to create numerous combinations:

Lemon and mint

Lime and cucumber

Orange and rosemary

Strawberry and basil

Raspberry and mint

Peach and lemon balm

Apple and cinnamon

Lemon, ginger and mint

Orange, lime and lemon balm

The wide opening makes it easy to add fruit, herbs and ice cubes.

Special Homemade Iced Teas

Homemade iced tea is a wonderful alternative to ready-made soft drinks and can be varied according to the season and occasion.

Prepare the tea separately and allow it to cool completely. It can then be poured into the ceramic jug and combined with fruit, herbs and other ingredients.

Recipe: Lemon and Mint Iced Tea

Prepare green or black tea and allow it to cool completely.

Add freshly squeezed lemon juice, thin lemon slices and a few fresh mint leaves.

Sweeten to taste with a little honey or sugar syrup.

Serve well chilled.

Recipe: Peach and Vanilla Iced Tea

Prepare black tea and allow it to cool.

Cut a ripe peach into small pieces or lightly purée it.

Add the peach, a little lemon juice and a hint of vanilla.

Sweeten to taste with honey or peach syrup.

Recipe: Raspberry and Hibiscus Iced Tea

Prepare a strong hibiscus tea and allow it to cool completely.

Lightly crush fresh raspberries and add them together with a little lime or lemon juice.

Sweeten with honey or raspberry syrup if desired.

The intense red colour of the drink creates a beautiful contrast with many traditional Polish Pottery patterns.

Recipe: Green Tea with Cucumber, Lime and Mint

Prepare green tea and allow it to cool completely.

Add thin cucumber slices, fresh lime juice and mint leaves.

For a slightly sweeter drink, add a small amount of honey or syrup.

A particularly refreshing combination for hot summer days, barbecues and garden parties.

Recipe: Strawberry and Basil Iced Tea

Prepare fruit tea and allow it to cool completely.

Halve or quarter fresh strawberries.

Add them to the cold tea together with a few basil leaves and a little lemon juice.

An unusual combination for a summer buffet, garden party or terrace.

Recipe: Apple and Cinnamon Iced Tea

Prepare a mild black tea or fruit tea and allow it to cool.

Mix with cloudy apple juice.

Add thin apple slices and a little cinnamon.

This iced tea is particularly suitable for late summer and autumn.

Recipe: Pear and Rosemary Iced Tea

Prepare white tea and allow it to cool completely.

Cut a ripe pear into thin slices.

Add the pear, a small sprig of rosemary and a few drops of lemon juice.

Allow the flavours to infuse briefly and serve chilled.

A distinctive combination for brunches, weddings or festive buffets.

Recipe: Blueberry and Lemon Balm Iced Tea

Prepare fruit tea or a mild green tea and allow it to cool completely.

Lightly crush fresh blueberries and add them together with lemon balm and a little lemon juice.

Sweeten lightly with honey if desired.

The dark berries also look particularly decorative inside the open ceramic jug.

Homemade Syrups

The jug is also ideal for serving homemade syrups at a buffet or drinks station.

As syrup is used in concentrated form, there is naturally no need to fill the jug completely.

Guests can take a small amount and mix it with sparkling water, still water or tea.

Recipe: Lemon and Mint Syrup

200 ml water

200 g sugar

Juice and a little zest from one untreated lemon

A small handful of fresh mint

Slowly heat the water and sugar until the sugar has completely dissolved.

Add the lemon and mint and allow the flavours to infuse.

Strain, allow to cool completely and store in the refrigerator.

Recipe: Raspberry and Vanilla Syrup

250 g raspberries

200 g sugar

200 ml water

A little vanilla

Slowly heat the raspberries, sugar and water and simmer gently for a few minutes.

Add the vanilla, strain through a fine sieve and allow to cool.

The syrup is delicious with mineral water and iced tea, as well as with plain yoghurt, ice cream, waffles and desserts.

Recipe: Ginger and Lemon Syrup

Cut fresh ginger into thin slices and gently simmer with water and sugar.

Add fresh lemon juice, allow to infuse and then strain.

Mixed with chilled mineral water, it makes a refreshing ginger and lemon drink.

Recipe: Strawberry and Lime Syrup

Slowly heat fresh strawberries with sugar and a little water.

Add fresh lime juice and a little finely grated lime zest.

Allow to infuse briefly, strain and cool completely.

The syrup is suitable for mineral water, iced tea, alcohol-free cocktails, ice cream and desserts.

Recipe: Apple and Cinnamon Syrup

Slowly reduce cloudy apple juice with sugar, a small cinnamon stick and a little lemon juice.

Once cooled, it becomes an aromatic syrup for water, tea, ice cream, waffles and desserts.

Recipe: Orange and Rosemary Syrup

Slowly heat orange juice with sugar.

Add a small sprig of rosemary and a little finely grated zest from an untreated orange.

Allow to infuse briefly, remove the rosemary and cool completely.

Mixed with mineral water and ice, it makes an unusual summer drink.

Recipe: Blueberry and Lime Syrup

Slowly heat blueberries with sugar and a little water.

Lightly crush some of the berries and simmer for a few minutes.

Add fresh lime juice, strain and allow to cool.

The syrup is excellent with mineral water, cold tea, yoghurt, ice cream and desserts.

Alcohol-Free Elderflower and Lemon Spritz

Pour a little elderflower syrup into the jug.

Top up with well-chilled sparkling mineral water and add lemon slices, fresh mint leaves and, if desired, a few raspberries or strawberries.

A beautiful alcohol-free option for weddings, birthdays, garden parties and summer evenings.

Peach and Lemon Balm Lemonade

Finely purée ripe peaches.

Mix with cold water or sparkling mineral water and add a little lemon juice and fresh lemon balm.

Sweeten with a small amount of honey or syrup if desired.

Served well chilled, this lemonade is an excellent accompaniment to summer salads and grilled dishes.

Cold Apple and Ginger Punch

Mix cloudy apple juice with a little lemon juice.

Add thin slices of fresh ginger and apple.

Chill well and allow the flavours to infuse.

Shortly before serving, the punch can be topped up with sparkling mineral water.

Olive Oil and Vinegar at the Buffet

The jug can also be used for the short-term serving of olive oil or vinegar at a buffet or large dining table.

It is particularly attractive as part of a Mediterranean buffet with:

Fresh bread

Focaccia

Antipasti

Tomato and mozzarella

Salads

Olives

Cheese

Grilled vegetables

For long-term storage, oil and vinegar should be kept in suitable sealable containers. The open ceramic jug is primarily intended for serving during a meal or event.

Mediterranean Herb Oil

Flavour olive oil with dried rosemary, thyme and oregano.

A little finely grated lemon zest adds freshness.

The herb oil is delicious with bread, focaccia, antipasti and grilled vegetables.

When using fresh garlic or fresh herbs, prepare the oil fresh, keep it refrigerated and use it promptly.

Honey Mustard Dressing

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp mild vinegar

1 tsp mustard

1 tsp honey

Salt and pepper

Mix all ingredients thoroughly.

The dressing can be served directly in the jug at the table or on a salad buffet.

Yoghurt and Herb Dressing

Mix plain yoghurt with a little lemon juice, salt, pepper and finely chopped herbs.

Chives, parsley, dill and mint are particularly suitable.

The dressing works well with leafy salads, cucumber salad, potatoes and grilled vegetables.

Mango and Lime Sauce

Finely purée a ripe mango.

Mix with fresh lime juice and add a little honey and a very small pinch of chilli to taste.

The fruity sauce complements poultry, rice dishes, grilled vegetables and summer buffets.

Tomato and Basil Sauce

Mix passata with finely sliced basil, a little olive oil, salt and pepper.

Served cold, the sauce is ideal with bread, antipasti, grilled vegetables or as a dip.

Special Recipe: Yoghurt and Mango Dessert Sauce

Mix plain yoghurt with finely puréed mango.

Add a little lime juice and, if desired, a small amount of honey.

The sauce is ideal with fruit salad, pancakes, waffles, ice cream or on a summer dessert buffet.

For Sauces and Desserts

The jug can also be used as an attractive serving vessel for sauces.

For example:

Vanilla sauce

Chocolate sauce

Berry sauce

Strawberry sauce

Fruit sauce

Caramel sauce

Yoghurt dressing

Herb dressing

Vinaigrette

Tomato sauce

Mango sauce

Gravy

On a coffee table, a ceramic jug filled with vanilla or chocolate sauce looks particularly attractive next to cake, waffles, crêpes, ice cream or pudding.

As a Flower Vase

Its rounded shape and height of approx. 10 cm make the jug a beautiful small to medium-sized flower vase.

The generous opening provides plenty of room for loose arrangements of:

Tulips

Roses

Daisies

Peonies

Dahlias

Lavender

Wildflowers

Baby’s breath

Eucalyptus

Herb sprigs

Seasonal garden flowers

Its relatively low shape makes the jug especially suitable for the dining table. A low floral arrangement allows guests to maintain eye contact across the table more easily than a tall vase.

Flowers from Your Own Garden

A large bouquet is not necessary.

A few daisies, small roses, lavender, herbs or freshly cut garden flowers may be all that is needed to transform the jug into a natural table decoration.

In spring, tulips and small daffodils are ideal.

In summer, wildflowers, lavender and daisies work beautifully.

In autumn, grasses, small branches and rose hips can be used.

In winter, fir branches, berry branches and seasonal decorations create a festive effect.

For Weddings, Birthdays and Festive Tables

Several jugs featuring different Polish Pottery patterns can be arranged along a long festive table.

Some can hold flowers, others water or juice. Additional jugs can be used for syrup, dressing or sauces.

This creates a varied table setting in which the pottery simultaneously serves as tableware, a serving vessel and decoration.

Ideal for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, family celebrations, christenings, garden parties, summer celebrations, restaurant events and festive buffets.

For Restaurants and Cafés

In professional catering, the jug can be used in many different ways.

For example, for:

Milk

Already prepared milk foam

Juice

Water

Wine

Iced tea

Syrup

Dressing

Sauces

Olive oil

Vinegar

Dessert sauces

Used as a small flower vase, the same ceramic jug can also become part of the table decoration.

For Hotels, Guesthouses and Breakfast Buffets

Several jugs with different Polish Pottery patterns can be placed side by side at a breakfast buffet.

One may contain milk, another orange juice and another apple juice or naturally flavoured water.

They can also be used for syrups, dressings and sauces.

When several jugs contain different foods or beverages, the contents should be clearly labelled for guests.

For Catering and Events

At catered events, weddings and larger celebrations, several ceramic jugs can be distributed across the buffet and festive tables.

Some can be used for drinks, others for dressings or sauces, while additional jugs can serve as flower vases.

This creates a coordinated yet varied presentation.

Decoration Throughout the Year

Even without food or beverages, the jug is a decorative piece of Polish Pottery.

It can be displayed on a kitchen shelf, sideboard, in a display cabinet, on a laid table or in an entrance area.

Seasonal flowers, branches, dried grasses and other natural materials allow it to be decorated differently throughout the year.

For Kitchen Utensils and Creative Uses

Thanks to its large opening, the jug can also hold smaller cooking spoons, cutlery, napkins, brushes, pens, craft supplies or floristry accessories.

If it is permanently used outside the food area, this use should be kept separate from any later use with food or beverages.

Use in the Workshop

The ceramic jug can also be used in a workshop as a decorative vessel or for the short-term provision of suitable technical liquids.

Before using it with technical oils, lubricants or other workshop liquids, check whether the particular substance is compatible with the ceramic and glaze.

Aggressive, toxic, corrosive or solvent-containing substances should not be used without explicit confirmation of material compatibility.

Once the jug has been used for technical oils or other workshop substances, it should be permanently separated from food use and should not subsequently be used for food or beverages.

A Versatile Jug for Almost the Entire Day

Milk or orange juice in the morning, milk or already prepared milk foam with coffee, dressing at lunchtime, homemade iced tea in the afternoon, herb oil at a barbecue, wine with dinner and later a bouquet of fresh flowers.

It is precisely this versatility that makes the jug, with its maximum capacity of approx. 950 ml, a special piece of Polish Pottery for private homes, restaurants, cafés, hotels, catering, buffets and beautifully laid festive tables.
