Classic Butter Dishes – 250 g in Polish Pottery

Breakfast in the garden – with butter, ceramics, and a slow start to the day

Imagine a peaceful morning, dew still shimmering on the grass, a gentle breeze brushing past your shoulder, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with warm bread. In the middle of the garden table sits a beautifully hand-painted butter dish made of Polish pottery, holding a full stick of butter – not just as a container, but as part of the experience.

Our classic butter dishes are designed to fit 250 g of butter, with outer dimensions of approx. 17.8 × 13.2 × 9.5 cm and a weight of around 820 g. These pieces are lovingly handcrafted by artisans from Ceramika Artystyczna in Bolesławiec – a town renowned for its centuries-old pottery tradition. Each piece is a one-of-a-kind blend of form and function, with vibrant, folk-inspired patterns and a warm, tactile feel.

From garden brunch to golden autumn comfort

As summer gently fades into the golden tones of autumn, that same butter dish moves from the garden table to a cozy indoor setting. Now it sits beside thick slices of sourdough, steaming bowls of soup, and herb-infused butters made for slow, comforting meals.

Whether it's for weekend brunch, afternoon tea, or a candlelit dinner, these butter dishes add a touch of charm and tradition to any table. They pair beautifully with other Polish pottery pieces – from mugs and egg cups to plates and vases – creating a warm, layered table setting full of story and texture.

Craftsmanship with character

Each dish is handmade and hand-decorated – a celebration of European artisanry. These aren’t just storage solutions, they are functional heirlooms, perfect as giftscollectibles, or simply for everyday use that feels anything but ordinary.

Bring a little beauty to your butter – in the garden or by the fireplace.
