Special Recipe: Homemade Hot Cocoa Like Grandma Made

Ingredients for 1 pot (approx. 400 ml):
– 2 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 tsp brown sugar (or more, to taste)
– 1 pinch ground cinnamon
– 250 ml whole milk
– 100 ml cream
– 1 small pinch of vanilla (or vanilla sugar)
– Optional: pinch of salt or a small piece of dark chocolate

Instructions:

1. In a small saucepan, mix cocoa, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla.

2. Add a splash of milk to form a thick, smooth paste.

3. Stir in the rest of the milk and cream and heat gently – do not boil.

4. Add chocolate and a touch of salt for depth, if desired.

5. Pour the finished cocoa into the pre-warmed Polish Pottery teapot and serve.

Tip: Serve with butter cookies or top with a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg.
