This large oval baking dish and serving bowl made of Polish Pottery by Ceramika Artystyczna combines generous capacity, versatile functionality and a beautiful decorative appearance for both everyday use and special occasions.

The outside dimensions are approx. 35 × 24 cm, the height is approx. 6.5 cm, the weight is approx. 1.7 kg, and the maximum capacity when filled with water to overflowing is approx. 3 litres.

The base measures approx. 30 × 19 cm, giving the dish a stable position on the dining table, kitchen worktop, buffet or serving area.

This shape is available in 5 different sizes, and this is the largest version in the series. It is therefore especially suitable for families, entertaining guests, larger portions, buffets and professional use in restaurants, hotels and catering.

One of the great advantages of a decorative ceramic baking dish is that preparation and serving can take place in the same piece.

Lasagna, potato gratin, baked vegetables or a family casserole do not have to be transferred into another serving dish after cooking. The beautifully decorated ceramic dish can simply be placed directly on the table.

This creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere and makes the dish particularly suitable for Sunday lunches, family gatherings, birthdays, Easter, Christmas and dinners with friends.

The largest of five sizes

This baking dish belongs to a series available in five different sizes.

The version offered here is the largest.

It is therefore ideal for larger family portions, several guests and dishes that are served in the centre of the table for everyone to share.

The different sizes in the series can also be combined beautifully.

Smaller dishes can be used for dips, side dishes or individual portions, while this large version is ideal for main courses, salads, vegetables, bread and large desserts.

As a movable herb garden

A particularly creative use outside the kitchen is as a movable herb garden.

The large surface provides space for several different herbs.

Basil

Parsley

Chives

Thyme

Coriander

Mint

Oregano

Marjoram

Rosemary

Because a baking dish normally has no drainage holes, it is advisable to place the herbs in separate small plant pots or suitable plant inserts.

This makes excess water easier to control.

The entire herb arrangement can then be moved easily, for example from the kitchen window to the dining table or outdoors when conditions are suitable.

The large ceramic dish can therefore temporarily become a decorative mobile mini herb garden.

For seeds and young plants

The large surface can also be used for starting seeds and young plants.

Basil

Parsley

Cress

Rocket

Lettuce

Tomatoes

Peppers

Flowers

Microgreens

Small nursery pots, seed trays or suitable inserts can be placed together inside the ceramic dish.

The pottery then serves as an attractive collecting tray for the young plants.

For microgreens

The broad surface also provides space for different microgreens.

Radish

Broccoli

Rocket

Mustard

Peas

Cress

Sunflower

If plants are grown directly in the dish, watering should be very careful because there are no drainage holes.

Removable growing trays are a practical alternative.

For floristry and floral decoration

For florists and creative decorators, the large oval dish offers many possibilities.

It can be used as a base for broad, low table arrangements.

Fresh flowers

Dried flowers

Moss

Branches

Succulents

Small plants

Grasses

Pine cones

Stones

Natural materials

Small decorative figures

The elongated oval shape is especially suitable for table decorations because the arrangement can spread across a large area without becoming too tall.

Guests can therefore still see and talk to each other across the table.

For weddings and festive tables

With flowers, greenery and seasonal elements, the bowl can become the centrepiece of a festive table.

Low arrangements of flowers, branches and moss look elegant while allowing guests to maintain eye contact across the table.

After the celebration, the dish can be cleaned and returned to normal kitchen or serving use.

Spring decoration

In spring, the bowl can be filled with

Moss

Small spring flowers

Cress

Small bulb plants

Branches

Decorative eggs

Natural materials

The large surface even allows a complete miniature spring landscape to be created.

Easter decoration

For Easter, suitable elements include

Moss

Cress

Decorative eggs

Small spring flowers

Branches

Feathers

Natural materials

The large oval surface provides enough room for a complete Easter scene as a table centrepiece.

Autumn decoration

In autumn, the bowl can be filled with natural materials.

Chestnuts

Acorns

Pine cones

Nuts

Dried flowers

Rose hips

Leaves

Small ornamental pumpkins

Apples

This creates a warm and natural autumn decoration.

Christmas decoration

During Advent and Christmas, the dish can take on a completely different role.

Fir branches

Pine cones

Dried orange slices

Cinnamon sticks

Christmas baubles

Stars

Nuts

Small LED lights

Such an arrangement is suitable for the dining table, sideboard, reception area, hotel or restaurant.
