This large Polish Pottery jug by Ceramika Artystyczna combines traditional ceramic craftsmanship with an exceptionally wide range of uses in the home, hospitality, catering and decoration.

With a height of approx. 18.5 cm and a maximum capacity of approx. 2.02 litres, it is one of the larger jugs and is ideal for families, generous breakfast tables, brunches, garden parties, buffets, restaurants, cafés, hotels, guest houses, catering and special events.

The longest side at the top measures approx. 20.3 cm, while the shortest side measures approx. 15.5 cm. The jug weighs around 1 kg and has a base diameter of approx. 10.5 cm.

In the morning it can hold milk or orange juice. At lunchtime it can serve homemade iced tea or fruit-infused water. In the afternoon it can be filled with cocoa or lemonade, while in the evening it can be used for wine or water.

Once the drinks have been served, simply add tulips, roses, wildflowers or seasonal branches and the jug becomes an attractive decorative vase.

As a Large Milk Jug for Breakfast and the Coffee Table

With a maximum capacity of approx. 2.02 litres, the jug is ideal for serving larger quantities of milk.

It can be used for a family breakfast, a relaxed weekend brunch or on a breakfast buffet in a hotel or guest house.

Milk can be served alongside:

Filter coffee

Cappuccino

Latte macchiato

Café au lait

Americano

Espresso

Black tea

Chai

Matcha

Cocoa

For hotels, guest houses, cafés and breakfast restaurants, a beautiful Polish Pottery jug can be an attractive alternative to placing ordinary milk cartons or bottles on a carefully laid table or buffet.

For Barista Use, Milk and Milk Foam

The jug can also be used in a barista setting, particularly for holding and serving milk or milk foam that has already been prepared separately.

At a larger coffee gathering, for example, a generous quantity of milk can be provided in this jug while smaller jugs are used for individual guests.

Prepared milk foam can also be served for cappuccino, latte macchiato, café au lait, hot chocolate and other coffee specialities.

Important: If milk is to be heated or frothed directly inside the ceramic jug using hot steam, first check whether Ceramika Artystyczna expressly approves this method for the specific product. Without appropriate manufacturer approval, the jug should not be placed directly on a hob or another direct heat source.

For Juice and Breakfast Drinks

Its generous capacity makes this jug ideal for fresh or chilled juices.

For example:

Orange juice

Apple juice

Grape juice

Cherry juice

Blackcurrant juice

Multivitamin juice

Pineapple juice

Grapefruit juice

Tomato juice

Peach nectar

Mango juice

At a breakfast for several people, the jug can simply be placed on the table so everyone can help themselves.

For Water and Fruit-Infused Water

The jug makes an attractive water pitcher for the dining table, terrace, garden party or buffet.

With just a few natural ingredients, ordinary water can be transformed into a refreshing table drink.

Delicious combinations include:

Lemon and mint

Lime and cucumber

Orange and rosemary

Strawberry and mint

Raspberry and lime

Apple and cinnamon

Peach and lemon balm

Cucumber, lemon and mint

Allow the ingredients to infuse in cold water for a while and serve well chilled.

For Homemade Iced Tea

The large jug is particularly suitable for homemade iced tea. With a capacity of around two litres, you can prepare enough for the family, guests, a terrace gathering, garden party or buffet.

Recipe: Peach and Lemon Iced Tea

1.5 L water

4 to 5 black tea bags or an equivalent amount of loose tea

2 ripe peaches

1 organic lemon

Honey or sugar syrup to taste

Fresh mint

Brew the tea according to the instructions for the variety being used.

Allow it to cool completely.

Cut the peaches into thin wedges and add them together with lemon slices and a few mint leaves.

Chill thoroughly and serve cold.

Recipe: Green Iced Tea with Lime, Cucumber and Mint

1.5 L water

4 to 5 portions of green tea

1 lime

A piece of cucumber

Fresh mint

A little honey if desired

Prepare the green tea using a suitable water temperature for the particular variety and avoid steeping it for too long.

Allow it to cool before adding lime slices, thin cucumber slices and fresh mint.

Refrigerate for several hours.

A particularly refreshing drink for hot summer days.

Recipe: Raspberry and Hibiscus Iced Tea

1.5 L water

Hibiscus tea according to the desired strength

150 g raspberries

1 organic lemon

A little honey or sugar syrup

Prepare the hibiscus tea and allow it to cool completely.

Add the raspberries and a few lemon slices.

Sweeten lightly to taste and serve chilled.

Its vibrant colour also makes this iced tea particularly attractive on a buffet.

Recipe: Apple and Cinnamon Iced Tea

1.5 L water

Fruit tea or mild black tea

1 to 2 apples

1 small cinnamon stick

A little lemon juice

Honey to taste

Prepare the tea and allow it to cool.

Cut the apples into thin slices and add them together with the cinnamon stick.

1.5 L water

Black tea or rooibos tea

1 untreated orange

1 small sprig of rosemary

A little honey or syrup

Prepare the tea and allow it to cool completely.

Use rosemary sparingly so that its distinctive flavour does not overpower the tea.

For Homemade Lemonade

Homemade lemonades can also be beautifully presented in this large ceramic jug.

Recipe: Lemon and Mint Lemonade

1.5 L cold water

Juice of 3 to 4 lemons

Lemon slices

Fresh mint

Sugar syrup or honey to taste

Mix the lemon juice with the water and sweeten to taste.

Add lemon slices and fresh mint and serve well chilled.

Recipe: Raspberry and Lime Lemonade

1.5 L sparkling water

150 g raspberries

Juice of 2 limes

Lime slices

A little sugar syrup

Fresh mint

Lightly crush some of the raspberries and mix them with the lime juice and syrup.

Top up with cold sparkling water and add the remaining raspberries, lime slices and mint.

For Wine and Wine Spritzers

The large ceramic jug can also be used for serving wine at shared meals, barbecues, garden parties or Mediterranean-style dinners.

It can be used for red, white or rosé wine when you want to present the wine traditionally in a ceramic jug.

It is also ideal for refreshing wine spritzers.

Recipe: Summer White Wine Spritzer with Peach

750 ml chilled white wine

500 to 700 ml sparkling water

1 to 2 peaches

A few lemon or lime slices

Cut the peaches into wedges and place them in the jug with the chilled white wine.

Top up with sparkling water shortly before serving.

A simple and refreshing drink for a garden party, barbecue or summer buffet.

For Cocoa and Chocolate Drinks

The jug can also be used for cold cocoa or warm cocoa that has been prepared separately in another suitable container.

For children's parties, family breakfasts or winter coffee tables, a larger quantity of cocoa can be prepared and then served in the jug.

Special variations include:

Vanilla cocoa

Cinnamon cocoa

Orange cocoa

Cocoa with cardamom

Cocoa with vanilla and honey

Warm drinks should only be poured into the jug at a suitable temperature. Sudden and extreme temperature changes should generally be avoided with ceramic products.

Special Homemade Syrup Variations

Homemade syrups can be prepared in advance and later combined with water, sparkling water, tea or coffee.

Recipe: Lemon and Ginger Syrup

200 ml water

200 g sugar

Juice and a little zest from an untreated lemon

A few thin slices of fresh ginger

Heat the water and sugar until the sugar has dissolved.

Add the lemon and ginger and allow the flavours to infuse briefly.

Strain and leave to cool.

Mixed with sparkling water, it makes a refreshing lemon and ginger drink.

Recipe: Raspberry and Vanilla Syrup

250 g raspberries

200 ml water

200 g sugar

A little real vanilla

Gently heat the raspberries with the water and sugar.

Add the vanilla and simmer briefly.

Recipe: Orange and Cinnamon Syrup

200 ml water

200 g sugar

Zest of an untreated orange

250 ml apple juice

Strawberries

Raspberries

Blueberries

Fresh mint

Carefully place the fruit in the jug, add the grape juice and apple juice and chill.

For Olive Oil on a Buffet

At larger buffets or events, the jug can also be used for the decorative serving of olive oil.

It works particularly well alongside:

Fresh bread

Ciabatta

Baguette

Focaccia

Antipasti

Grilled vegetables

Tomato and mozzarella

Salads

Pasta

Cheese platters

Because of its generous capacity, the jug naturally does not need to be completely filled with oil.

For long-term storage of olive oil, use a suitable container that can be tightly closed and preferably protects the oil from light.

Recipe: Mediterranean Herb Oil for Serving

500 ml good-quality olive oil

Dried rosemary

Dried thyme

Oregano

A little finely grated lemon zest

Mix the ingredients and provide an appropriate quantity at the buffet.

If fresh herbs or fresh garlic are used, prepare the oil fresh, keep it refrigerated and consume it promptly.

For Vinegar and Salad Dressings

At a larger salad buffet, the jug can also be used for vinegar or freshly prepared dressings.

For example:

Balsamic vinegar

Apple cider vinegar

White wine vinegar

Red wine vinegar

Herb vinegar

Raspberry vinegar

Lemon dressing

Honey mustard dressing

Herb vinaigrette

In professional catering and hospitality, the contents of different serving vessels should be clearly labelled for guests.

Recipe: Large Honey Mustard Vinaigrette for a Buffet

300 ml olive oil

100 ml mild vinegar

3 to 4 tbsp mustard

3 tbsp honey

Salt

Pepper

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and keep refrigerated until required.

Mix well again immediately before serving.

As a Large Flower Vase

After breakfast, the same jug can become a decorative centrepiece in the room.

With a height of approx. 18.5 cm, it is particularly suitable as a vase for medium-sized and larger flower arrangements.

Especially attractive choices include:

Tulips

Roses

Peonies

Sunflowers

Hydrangeas

Dahlias

Gerberas

Daisies

Wildflowers

Lavender

Eucalyptus

Decorative branches

Ornamental grasses

The flower-filled jug can be placed on the dining table, kitchen table, sideboard, windowsill, reception counter or buffet.

Flower Decorations for Weddings and Hospitality

For weddings, birthdays, family celebrations, restaurants or hotels, several Polish Pottery jugs with different patterns can be combined.

A large jug filled with flowers can become the centrepiece of a buffet or festive table.

Seasonal arrangements are also possible:

In spring with tulips and fresh branches

In summer with sunflowers and wildflowers

In autumn with dahlias, grasses and rose hips

In winter with fir branches, eucalyptus and berry branches

For Restaurants, Hotels and Catering

With a maximum capacity of around 2 litres, the jug is ideal for larger tables and buffets.

Possible contents include:

Milk

Juice

Water

Fruit-infused water

Iced tea

Lemonade

Cocoa

Wine

Wine spritzers

Fruit drinks

Salad dressing

Vinaigrette

Oil

Vinegar

It can also be used at receptions or self-service stations.

For commercial use, the contents and, where necessary, relevant allergens should be clearly identified.

As a Decorative Kitchen Jug

Even without drinks or flowers, the large ceramic jug can be used as a decorative object in its own right.

It can be displayed:

On a kitchen worktop

On a sideboard

On a large dining table

In a display cabinet

On a reception counter

On a buffet

On a windowsill

On a shelf

Depending on the season, it can be filled with branches, dried flowers or ornamental grasses.

For Fresh Kitchen Herbs

Larger quantities of freshly cut herbs can also be placed temporarily in a little water in the jug.

For example:

Parsley

Mint

Basil

Rosemary

Thyme

Sage

Lemon balm

This keeps fresh herbs within easy reach while cooking or barbecuing and creates a natural decorative feature at the same time.

For Workshop Use

Outside the food area, the large ceramic jug can also be used in a workshop as a decorative container or for the short-term holding of suitable technical liquids.

Before filling it with technical oils, lubricants or other workshop fluids, compatibility with the ceramic and glaze must be checked.

Aggressive, toxic, corrosive or solvent-containing substances should not be used without explicit confirmation of material compatibility.

It is also important to keep uses strictly separate. Once the jug has been used for technical oils or other workshop substances, it should remain permanently dedicated to that purpose and should no longer be used for food, milk or beverages.

One Jug for the Whole Day

In the morning, it can stand on the breakfast table filled with milk or orange juice. At lunchtime, it can serve lemon and mint water or homemade iced tea. In the afternoon, cold cocoa or a fruity lemonade can accompany cakes and pastries.

In the evening, it can be used for wine, a wine spritzer or water with dinner. At a barbecue, it can hold flavoured water or a special homemade dressing.

And once the guests have gone home, simply fill the jug with tulips, roses or wildflowers and the drinks pitcher becomes a beautiful ceramic vase.

It is precisely this versatility that makes a large Polish Pottery jug a special piece for the family, kitchen, hospitality industry, celebrations and home decoration.
