This compact Polish Pottery jug by Ceramika Artystyczna combines a traditional rounded shape with a practical size and an impressive variety of uses. At only approx. 8.2 cm high and with a maximum overflow capacity of approx. 500 ml, it is smaller than a classic beverage jug, making it particularly versatile for everyday use.

The top opening measures approx. 10 cm at its longest side and approx. 9 cm at its shortest side. The base has a diameter of approx. 9 cm, while the jug weighs around 370 g.

The shaped pouring spout helps with controlled pouring, while the wide opening makes it easy to fill the jug with drinks, fruit, herbs, sauces or flowers.

The same jug can hold milk or orange juice in the morning, salad dressing at lunchtime, homemade iced tea in the afternoon, herb oil at a barbecue, wine in the evening and a small bouquet of flowers afterwards.

Compact Size for Everyday Use

With a maximum overflow capacity of approx. 500 ml, this jug is ideal whenever a large one-litre jug would simply be too much.

Its size is particularly convenient for two people, a small breakfast table, afternoon coffee, a romantic dinner for two or individual portions in restaurants and hospitality.

The low height of approx. 8.2 cm also offers a decorative advantage. The jug fits easily between plates, bowls and serving platters without unnecessarily obstructing the view across the table.

Milk Jug for Breakfast, Coffee and Tea

One of the classic uses is serving milk.

Instead of placing a milk carton or bottle directly on the breakfast table, the required amount of milk can be presented in this decorative Polish Pottery jug.

Ideal with:

Coffee

Tea

Chai

Muesli

Breakfast cereals

Porridge

Cocoa

Fresh berries

Pancakes

Waffles

Desserts

The compact size is especially practical for two people. In hotels, guesthouses, cafés and restaurants, the jug can also be used for serving smaller portions of milk.

For Baristas, Coffee and Milk Foam

Thanks to its handle and pouring spout, the jug can also be used as part of a coffee service.

It is suitable for serving and portioning milk or for presenting milk foam that has already been prepared separately.

Ideal with:

Cappuccino

Latte macchiato

Caffè latte

Café au lait

Espresso macchiato

Chai latte

Hot chocolate

Cocoa

If milk is to be heated or frothed directly in the ceramic jug, only use a method specifically approved by the manufacturer for this particular product. Without such approval, do not place the jug directly on a hob or other direct heat source.

For Cocoa and Hot Chocolate

Especially during autumn and winter, already prepared warm cocoa or hot chocolate can be beautifully served in this small jug.

Serve it with:

Whipped cream

Marshmallows

Cinnamon

Chocolate shavings

Cocoa powder

Caramel sauce

The jug can also be used for vanilla sauce, chocolate sauce or fruit sauce served with waffles, ice cream, cakes and desserts.

Juice Jug for Breakfast and Brunch

Its size is ideal for serving smaller quantities of juice directly at the table.

For example:

Orange juice

Apple juice

Grape juice

Cherry juice

Multivitamin juice

Tomato juice

Pineapple juice

Peach juice

Berry juice

For a larger breakfast, several small Polish Pottery jugs in different patterns can be filled with different juices. This creates an attractive little juice selection on the breakfast table or buffet.

Wine Jug for a Relaxed Evening

The shape also works beautifully as a small wine jug.

White wine, rosé or red wine can be served in it. This style of presentation is particularly attractive for rustic or Mediterranean meals with bread, cheese, olives, antipasti, pasta or grilled dishes.

The stated 500 ml is the maximum overflow capacity. For comfortable carrying and clean, controlled pouring, the actual serving volume should be noticeably lower.

For Water and Infused Water

For a small meal or two people, the jug can also be placed on the table with water.

Fresh ingredients make the presentation especially attractive.

Lovely combinations include:

Lemon and mint

Lime and cucumber

Orange and rosemary

Strawberry and basil

Raspberry and mint

Peach and lemon balm

Apple and cinnamon

Lemon, ginger and mint

The wide opening makes it easy to add fruit and herbs and remove them again after serving.

Special Homemade Iced Teas

The small jug is perfect for serving homemade iced tea. Prepare the tea separately first and allow it to cool completely. Then transfer it to the jug and add fruit and herbs.

Recipe: Lemon & Mint Iced Tea

Brew green or black tea and allow it to cool completely.

Add fresh lemon juice, thin lemon slices and a few fresh mint leaves.

Sweeten to taste with a little honey or sugar syrup.

Serve well chilled.

Recipe: Peach & Vanilla Iced Tea

Prepare black tea and allow it to cool.

Cut a ripe peach into small pieces or lightly purée it.

Add the peach with a little lemon juice and a hint of vanilla.

For a sweeter version, add honey or peach syrup.

Recipe: Raspberry & Hibiscus Iced Tea

Brew a strong hibiscus tea and allow it to cool completely.

Lightly crush fresh raspberries and add them with a little lime or lemon juice.

Sweeten with honey or raspberry syrup if desired.

The intense red colour creates a beautiful contrast with the patterns of the Polish Pottery.

Recipe: Green Tea with Cucumber, Lime & Mint

Prepare green tea and allow it to cool completely.

Add thin cucumber slices, fresh lime juice and mint.

Sweeten lightly with honey or syrup if desired.

A particularly refreshing drink for hot summer days, garden parties and buffets.

Recipe: Strawberry & Basil Iced Tea

Prepare fruit tea and allow it to cool completely.

Halve or quarter fresh strawberries and add a few basil leaves.

A little lemon juice provides additional freshness.

Recipe: Apple & Cinnamon Iced Tea

Prepare a mild black tea or fruit tea and allow it to cool.

Mix with cloudy apple juice and add thin apple slices and a little cinnamon.

A lovely variation for late summer and autumn.

For Homemade Syrups

The 500 ml jug is particularly useful for serving concentrated homemade syrups. Since only small quantities are normally needed, there is no need to fill the jug completely.

At a buffet, guests can mix the syrup themselves with sparkling water, still water or tea.

Recipe: Lemon & Mint Syrup

200 ml water

200 g sugar

Juice and a little zest from one untreated lemon

A small handful of fresh mint

Slowly heat the water and sugar until the sugar has dissolved.

Add the lemon and mint and allow the mixture to infuse.

Strain, cool completely and store in the refrigerator.

Recipe: Raspberry & Vanilla Syrup

250 g raspberries

200 g sugar

200 ml water

A little vanilla

Slowly heat the raspberries, sugar and water and simmer gently for a few minutes.

Add the vanilla, strain through a fine sieve and allow to cool.

The syrup is delicious with sparkling water and iced tea, as well as with yoghurt, ice cream and desserts.

Recipe: Ginger & Lemon Syrup

Slice fresh ginger thinly and gently simmer it with water and sugar.

Add fresh lemon juice, allow it to infuse and then strain.

Mixed with sparkling water, it makes a refreshing ginger and lemon drink.

Recipe: Strawberry & Lime Syrup

Slowly heat fresh strawberries with sugar and a small amount of water.

Add lime juice and a little finely grated lime zest.

Allow to infuse briefly, strain and cool.

Ideal for sparkling water, iced tea, alcohol-free cocktails, ice cream and desserts.

Recipe: Apple & Cinnamon Syrup

Slowly reduce cloudy apple juice with sugar, a small cinnamon stick and a little lemon juice.

Once cooled, it becomes an aromatic syrup for sparkling water, tea, ice cream or desserts.

Special Recipe: Alcohol-Free Elderflower & Lemon Spritz

Pour a little elderflower syrup into the jug.

Top up with well-chilled sparkling water and add lemon slices, a few mint leaves and, if desired, a few berries.

A lovely alcohol-free drink for garden parties, summer evenings or receptions.

Special Recipe: Chilled Apple & Ginger Drink

Mix cloudy apple juice with a small splash of lemon juice.

Add thin slices of fresh ginger and several apple slices.

Chill well and allow the flavours to infuse.

If desired, add sparkling water shortly before serving.

For Olive Oil and Vinegar at the Buffet

The small jug can also be used for short-term serving of olive oil or vinegar at the table or buffet.

It is especially suitable alongside:

Fresh bread

Antipasti

Tomato and mozzarella

Salads

Grilled vegetables

Cheese

Olives

Focaccia

For long-term storage of oil or vinegar, suitable closable containers should be used. This open ceramic jug is primarily intended for attractive short-term serving during a meal.

Recipe: Mediterranean Herb Oil

Flavour olive oil with dried rosemary, thyme and oregano.

A little finely grated lemon zest adds freshness.

The oil is delicious with bread, antipasti, grilled vegetables and Mediterranean appetisers.

If using fresh garlic or fresh herbs, prepare the oil fresh, keep it refrigerated and use it promptly.

Recipe: Honey Mustard Dressing

3 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp mild vinegar

1 tsp mustard

1 tsp honey

Salt and pepper

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and serve the dressing in the jug directly at the salad buffet or dining table.

Recipe: Yoghurt & Herb Dressing

Mix natural yoghurt with a little lemon juice, finely chopped herbs, salt and pepper.

Chives, parsley, dill and mint are particularly suitable.

The dressing works well with leafy salads, cucumber salad, potatoes and grilled vegetables.

Recipe: Mango & Lime Sauce

Finely purée a ripe mango and mix with fresh lime juice.

Add a little honey and a very small pinch of chilli to taste.

This fruity sauce pairs well with grilled vegetables, poultry, rice dishes and summer buffets.

Recipe: Tomato & Basil Sauce

Mix passata with finely sliced basil, a little olive oil, salt and pepper.

Served cold, the sauce is ideal with bread, grilled vegetables, antipasti or as a dip.

For Sauces and Desserts

The small jug can also be used as an attractive sauce pitcher on the dining table.

For example:

Vanilla sauce

Chocolate sauce

Berry sauce

Fruit sauce

Yoghurt dressing

Herb dressing

Vinaigrette

Tomato sauce

Mango sauce

Gravy

For desserts, a small ceramic jug looks particularly attractive beside cakes, ice cream, waffles, crêpes or pudding.

As a Low Flower Vase

At only approx. 8.2 cm high, the jug is ideal for small, low floral arrangements.

The opening of approx. 10 × 9 cm provides enough space to arrange several stems loosely and naturally.

Suitable flowers and greenery include:

Tulips

Roses

Daisies

Peonies

Dahlias

Lavender

Wildflowers

Baby’s breath

Eucalyptus

Herb sprigs

Small garden flowers

A low flower arrangement is particularly practical on a dining table because it is less likely to obstruct the view between people sitting opposite one another.

A Beautiful Idea for a Few Flowers from the Garden

A large bouquet is not always necessary. Just a few freshly cut garden flowers can look charming in this small jug.

A handful of daisies, a single rose with greenery, lavender, herbs or a few small branches can quickly transform the jug into a natural table decoration.

For Weddings, Birthdays and Festive Tables

Several small jugs in different Polish Pottery patterns can be arranged along a long festive table.

One jug can hold flowers, another water or juice, while others can contain dressing, syrup or sauces.

This creates a lively table setting in which Polish Pottery serves as both functional tableware and decoration.

Ideal for:

Weddings

Birthdays

Anniversaries

Family celebrations

Christenings

Garden parties

Summer parties

Restaurant events

Festive buffets

For Restaurants and Cafés

In hospitality, the compact size is particularly useful because smaller portions can be served directly at the table.

Possible uses include:

Milk for coffee

Already prepared milk foam

Juice

Water

Wine

Iced tea

Syrup

Dressing

Sauce

Olive oil

Vinegar

Dessert sauce

The jug can also be used as a small table vase to complement the decoration in a restaurant or café.

For Hotels, Guesthouses and Breakfast Buffets

At a breakfast buffet, the jug can be used for milk, different juices, water, infused water, syrups, dressings or sauces.

Several jugs in different Polish Pottery patterns can be placed side by side.

One could contain orange juice, another apple juice and a third milk.

If several jugs with different contents are used at the same time, they should be clearly labelled for guests.

For Catering and Events

For catering and events, small ceramic jugs can be distributed flexibly across the entire table.

Some can contain drinks, others dressings or sauces, while additional jugs can hold small flower arrangements.

This creates an attractive connection between practical serving and decorative table design.

Decoration for Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter

In spring, the jug can hold tulips, small daffodils or flowering branches.

In summer, wildflowers, lavender, daisies and herbs are beautiful choices.

In autumn, small branches, dried grasses, rose hips and other natural seasonal materials can be used.

In winter, the jug can be decorated with small fir branches, berry branches or seasonal decorations.

Even when empty, the small rounded jug is an attractive piece of Polish Pottery for an open kitchen shelf, display cabinet, sideboard or beautifully laid table.

For Kitchen Utensils and Creative Uses

The wide opening provides even more possibilities.

The jug can hold small cooking spoons, cutlery, napkins, brushes, pens, craft supplies or small floristry tools.

If the jug is permanently used for non-food purposes, this use should remain separate from food and beverage use.

For Suitable Oils and Liquids in the Workshop

The jug can also be used in a workshop as a decorative container or for temporarily holding suitable technical liquids.

Before using technical oils, lubricants or other workshop fluids, check whether the specific substance is compatible with the ceramic and glaze.

Aggressive, toxic, corrosive or solvent-containing substances should not be used without explicit confirmation of material compatibility.

Once the jug has been used for technical oil or other workshop substances, it should remain permanently separate from food use and should not subsequently be used for food or drinks.

One Small Jug with Surprisingly Many Uses

Milk or orange juice at breakfast, milk or prepared milk foam with coffee, dressing at lunchtime, homemade iced tea in the afternoon, herb oil at a barbecue, wine with dinner and later a few flowers from the garden – its compact size makes this jug remarkably versatile.

With its height of approx. 8.2 cm, wide opening, handle and shaped pouring spout, it is a decorative and functional piece of Polish Pottery for private homes, restaurants, cafés, hotels, catering, buffets and festive occasions.
