Wine Jug – for Red Wine for One Person – Polish Pottery

Recommended Bread Types for Red Wine (one person)

  • French Baguette – crispy crust, airy crumb, perfect for dipping in butter or oil

  • Ciabatta – slightly tangy and aromatic

  • Walnut Bread – nutty flavor, ideal with robust wines

  • Mixed Rye Bread – hearty and rustic, perfect with strong wines

 

Recipe: French Baguette with Special Ingredients

Ingredients (for 2 baguettes):

  • 500 g organic wheat flour, type 550

  • 10 g salt

  • 5 g dry yeast

  • 350 ml lukewarm water

  • 1 tsp organic honey or coconut blossom sugar

  • 30 ml organic olive oil

  • Optional: 1 tsp dried Provence herbs

Instructions:

  1. Mix flour, salt, and yeast in a bowl.

  2. Stir water and honey together, add olive oil, and pour into the flour mixture.

  3. Knead for at least 10 minutes until elastic.

  4. Cover and let rise for 1.5–2 hours until doubled in size.

  5. Divide dough into two, shape into baguettes, and place on a baking tray.

  6. Make 3–4 diagonal slashes on the surface.

  7. Let rise again for 30 minutes.

  8. Preheat oven to 240 °C (464 °F), place a bowl of water at the bottom.

  9. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and crisp.

 

Three Mild Organic Butter Blends for Red Wine

  1. Mild Herb Butter

    • 100 g soft organic butter

    • 1 tsp chopped parsley

    • 1 tsp chopped chives

    • Pinch of sea salt
      Mix well and chill lightly.

  2. Mild Tomato Butter

    • 100 g soft organic butter

    • 2 tbsp chopped sun-dried tomatoes in oil

    • ½ tsp mild paprika

    • Pinch of sea salt
      Blend and chill.

  3. Honey Mustard Butter

    • 100 g soft organic butter

    • 1 tbsp mild organic mustard

    • 1 tsp organic honey

    • Pinch of salt
      Mix until creamy and serve slightly chilled.
