Dessert Recipes (all organic, homemade)

 

1. Homemade Vanilla Pudding (serves 4)

Ingredients:

  • 500 ml organic whole milk

  • 1 organic vanilla bean

  • 40 g organic sugar

  • 40 g organic cornstarch

  • 2 organic egg yolks

Preparation:

  1. Split vanilla bean, scrape out seeds.

  2. Heat milk with bean and seeds, let infuse for 10 minutes.

  3. Mix starch with a little cold milk and sugar.

  4. Stir into hot milk, bring to a short boil.

  5. Stir in yolks, pour into pottery bowls.

 

2. Herrencreme (Westphalian Specialty) (serves 4)

Ingredients:

  • 500 ml homemade vanilla pudding (see recipe 1)

  • 200 ml organic cream

  • 4 cl organic dark rum

  • 80 g organic dark chocolate, grated

Preparation:

  1. Whip cream until stiff.

  2. Mix pudding with rum until smooth.

  3. Fold in grated chocolate.

  4. Gently fold in whipped cream.

  5. Chill in dessert bowls.

 

Cake Classics (all organic, premium level)

 

3. Bavarian Cream (light & airy)

Ingredients:

  • 500 ml organic cream

  • 100 ml organic milk

  • 1 organic vanilla bean

  • 4 organic egg yolks

  • 80 g organic sugar

  • 6 organic gelatin sheets

Preparation:

  1. Scrape vanilla, heat with milk.

  2. Whisk yolks with sugar, pour in hot milk, cook until lightly thickened.

  3. Soak gelatin, dissolve in warm cream base.

  4. Let cool, fold in whipped cream.

  5. Fill into bowls, refrigerate.

 

4. Classic Organic Apple Cake (springform Ø 26 cm)

Ingredients:

  • 200 g organic spelt flour

  • 100 g organic butter

  • 80 g organic sugar

  • 1 organic egg

  • 1 tsp organic baking powder

  • 1 kg organic apples

  • 1 tsp organic cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp organic cane sugar

Preparation:

  1. Knead shortcrust from flour, butter, sugar, egg and baking powder.

  2. Press into greased pan, raise edges.

  3. Peel apples, cut into wedges, toss with cinnamon and sugar.

  4. Arrange on dough, bake at 180 °C for 45 minutes.

  5. Cool and serve in beautiful Polish Pottery.
